Now admittedly we stumbled across Cadgwith Cove on our way to Lizard Point but, this came without disappointment. We parked up and followed a wandering path passing the sale of sea urchins and a hidden church, finally approaching the most picturesque and quirky little fishing port.

Cadgwith holds a local fishmongers which did not look short of business, above the fishmongers sits a quaint little shop selling art and jewellery by local artists. On the other side of the road you will find places to eat, drink and a small local convenience store to enjoy an ice cream or buy postcards.

Another charming aspect of Cadgwith is the ‘todden’. The ‘todden’ separates the two small beaches, which hold two very different personalities. On the north east we approach the fisherman’s cove, a working cove filled with hustle and bustle.

On the south west however, sits a peaceful little cove covered in pebbles and sand. Only a five-minute walk from the north east side it was so quiet you get the impression that you’re miles away from everything else.
